Drew Robinett is counting down the days and final moments of his high school experience, as hundreds of Carmichael-area seniors prepare for graduation.
"It's kind of a surreal feeling right now, it's strange to realize four years have gone by," said Robinett, who will be Jesuit High School's valedictorian at the school's commencement ceremony on Saturday. "I'm a little nervous about the valedictory speech."

Robinett, who will graduate with a 4.8 grade point average, will attend Yale in the fall where he will major in literature. He chose the New Haven, Conn. school over Harvard and Stanford.
At Jesuit, . He was also in the , acted in the drama department's production of "Hello Dolly," was a peer mentor and was in the California Scholarship Federation and National Honor Society.

"What I enjoyed about Jesuit was the brotherhood," he said. "I enjoyed going to school and seeing my friends hang out and seeing the younger students and knowing they'll be confident and ready to go out into the world."
