
Update: Fair Oaks Patch has just been informed the class has been cancelled due to low enrollment numbers. According to Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District officials, the class will be offered again in July.
Some first-time golfers can show promise in certain aspects of their game. And there is the rest of us, who if they’re anything like this journalist, need as much help as they can find. Luckily, there may be hope.
Beginning Monday at 6:30 p.m., the Birdieball method of golf instruction begins by teaching its students the fundamental keys to golf in the first lesson.

The two-hour class will teach participants about equipment, course play, rules, etiquette, the short game, the long game and putting. The final class will include nine holes at Bradshaw Ranch Golf Course.
People can sign up for the class at the McMillan Center in Fair Oaks Park for $91.
