Memorial Day: What's Open & Closed in Fair Oaks & Carmichael
Prepare for the three-day weekend knowing what services won't be available Monday.
Before you decide to run errands Monday, here's a quick look at some of the services that will or will not be available for the Memorial Day holiday.
- Sacramento County offices will be closed.
- All U.S. Postal Service locations will be closed.
- Emergency services, such as police and fire, will be available.
- Garbage pickup services will not be affected.
- Sacramento County Library locations will be closed Saturday for a staff furlough (except Fair Oaks Library) through Monday.
- Sacramento Regional Transit District will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule Monday.
- Retail stores, grocery stores, restaurants and other businesses may have limited hours Monday. Call ahead before heading to a specific business to confirm they are open.
