Poll: How Much Are You Planning to Spend on Fireworks?
With the Fourth of July falling on Wednesday this year, how much are this year's festive fireworks worth?

The tradition of lighting fireworks on the Fourth of July is as old as the holiday itself. Costs for those fireworks, however, are probably a bit pricier than were, say 100 years ago. Further exacerbating the issue is the fact the 2012 holiday falls on a Wednesday, which begs the question: How much do you plan on spending on fireworks?
Indeed, fireworks are not as cheap as they have been in the past. Around town, prices can range anywhere from $1 to $170, depending on the size of the bundle purchased. Proceeds from these fireworks booths often benefit local groups. will be selling single fireworks and bundles as the holiday approaches.
Naturally, fire districts and local law enforcement will be on high-alert anyway, but with dimished resources available and the holiday falling in the middle of the work week, perhaps this year may be a good excuse to start new traditions.
