Preschoolers Create Works of Art for Charity

Local Preschool Holds Art Auction Open House to Benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation

Preschoolers at The Goddard School put their work on the auction block to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports and grants "wishes" to children with life-threatening conditions.

The children created amazing pieces of artwork that were auctioned off the School’s recent open house and raised a total of $2,800 in donations for the charity.

Instilling an appreciation for art in young children encourages imagination and creativity and provides a foundation for thinking critically about design. Equally important, teaching children about helping people in need inspires them to develop a foundation of compassion and cooperation.
