Readers Choice Winner: River Rat Mountain Bikes

River Rat Mountain Bikes is a longtime Fair Oaks institution for the biking enthusiast, offering sales, rentals and bike repair services. It stocks respected makes and models, like the Ibis Mojo bike or the Rocky Mountain Slayer, as well as cycling accessories, seats and repair kits.

Overhead, repaired bikes hang waiting for customer pickup. In the summer, there is an outdoor raft rental counter, and rafters can sign up for catered raft and shuttle trips to Ancil Hoffman Park.

Whether cruising on a bike or walking a raft, its a short trip  down Pennysvannia Avenue to access the American River Parkway and its miles of bike trails.
