Sacramento Nature Fest at Effie Yeaw Gets Wild Sunday

Grab your camera and the kids and get ready for a local wildlife adventure.

Bring your camera and share the fun as Effie Yeaw gets wild with its annual Sacramento Nature Fest, beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.

Guests can expect a schedule of wildlife expositions as well as educational exhibits, snacks and other shows.

Park officials have listed a number of events, including:

  • Raptor Flight Show: 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
  • Golden Eagle and Birds of Prey on Display: 10:30 a.m. till 2:30 p.m.
  • NorCal Bats Show: 12:30 p.m.
  • Guided Nature Walks: 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m.

Other events will include hands-on nature activities, a ladybug display and California watchable wildlife and Living with Rattlesnakes. Members from the Sac Valley Native Plant Society will be on hand, as will members from the Sacramento Zoo and the Evironmental Council of Sacramento.
