A man whom police say had been entering residences in Carmichael at night and confronting children is in custody, a Sacramento County Sheriff's Office reported.
Detectives had been looking for Matthew Jones, 18, in connection to late night incidents near Mission Avenue and captured him Sunday, said Dep. Jason Ramos. During the past week, Jones had been entering homes between Whitney and Marconi avenues.
He is being held in Sacramento County Jail on $300,000 bail, Ramos said.
