Travel Warnings Posted For Sierra Mountain Roads
The NWS says snowfall at higher elevations could fall quickly, especially around 7 p.m. Coupled with high winds, expect white-out conditions
According to the National Weather Service in Sacramento, a current winter storm warning exists for much of the Sierra Nevada until 4 p.m. Thursday.
High wind warnings and advisories are also in effect for many areas. Gusts are expected to peak this evening in the 30 - 35 mph range in the Sacramento area, and from 55 - 60 mph near Lake Tahoe.
