A Tree's Tenacity: NorCal Photo Of The Day

FAIR OAKS, CA — Patch reader Valerie Hetrick, of Davis, captured this image of a tree last weekend while taking a walk along the American River in Fair Oaks.

"I'm just impressed with the tenacity of the tree, as it seems to be thriving even though much of it is hanging over the edge of the bluffs," Valerie wrote in an email to Patch.
