WATCH: Solar Celebration with Mayor Kevin Johnson at Jesuit High School

The solar project system is capable of providing up to 48 percent of the energy needed to power Jesuit High School.

Earlier this week Mayor Kevin Johnson made an appearance at Jesuit High School in celebration of a solar project at Jesuit High School and video was there to capture it all.

The video, produced by Jesuit, includes information about how the solar project was funded, its uses and implications. According to Jesuit officials, the system is capable of providing up to 48 percent of the energy needed to power the entire campus.

The solar project is designed to provide energy for the private high school and is one of the largest rooftop solar power systems on a North American high school campus, with more than 2,200 solar panels on 10 rooftops across campus.
