Happy Monday! To help readers plan the upcoming week, we’ve patched together a few important dates to put on the calendar, from a school board meeting to concerts in the park.
Fair Oaks Rotary meeting: 6:30 to 8:30 tonight, Fair Oaks Community Clubhouse, 7997 California Ave. Dinner for non-members is $15. The service organization’s featured speaker is Sacramento County Supervisor Susan Peters.
San Juan Unified School District Board of Education meeting: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, 3738 Walnut Ave., Carmichael. The board will discuss an attendance incentive campaign and tentative agreements with the Teamsters Local #150 and the California School Employees Association.

Fair Oaks Farmers Market: 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Fair Oaks Plaza Park, 10219 Fair Oaks Blvd. Admission is free. The market features locally-grown fruits and vegetables as well as specialty gourmet foods, spices, sauces, nuts, dried fruits, honey and more.
Fair Oaks Parks and Recreation District Board of Directors meeting: 6 p.m. Wednesday, Old Fair Oaks Library, 4200 Temescal St. Boardmembers will discuss the district’s 2012-13 fiscal year general fund budget.

Concerts in the Park: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Fair Oaks Village Park, 4238 Main St. Admission is Free. This week’s concert, featuring the jazz, swing and show tunes music of Jay Paulis’ Society Band, is hosted by Sacramento County Supervisor Susan Peters and the Woman’s Thursday Club of Fair Oaks.
Movies in the Park: Sunset around 8 p.m. Friday, Fair Oaks Village Park, 4238 Main St. Admission is free. This week’s movie will be “Little Rascals.” Come early and let your kids experience the Wonderful Outdoor World bus before the movie begins. Popcorn and snacks will be available for purchase from the Fair Oaks Youth Advisory Board and Fair Oaks Host Lions Club.
