It's been an exceptionally busy week around Fair Oaks and Carmichael, a publication merge notwithstanding. U.S. Rep. Dan Lungren (R-Gold River) made an appearance in Carmichael, squaring off against protesters and jeers from the crowd. Friends gathered to pay tribute to a Carmichael man shot outside a popular Midtown area last Saturday. The Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District saved nearly $15,000 forgoing a November election when no one decided to run against the incumbents.
