Wildlife Care Association Photo Contest Winner!

The Wildlife Care Association of Sacramento challenges amateur photographers to give them the bird in annual photo contest!

As the non-profit provider of rescue, recovery and release of injured, orphaned and displaced birds and small animals, Wildlife Care Association (WCA) challenged the community to send their best bird photos and you did! Congratulations to all our photo entry participants!

Our 2018 honors go to Dave Labhard of Sacramento Co. for his dynamic photo of a Red Breasted Sapsucker launching into flight along the American River!

A rare sight for bird watchers, this Red Breasted Sapsucker shows dynamic action, outstanding depth of field and motion thru the background in this one photo.

Dave Labhard captured this excellent picture while enjoying nature and a beautiful day along the banks of the American River.

Birds can be found everywhere around us when we take time to look for them as they help balance our environment and maintain our quality of life in the Sacramento region.
