The Wildlife Care Association has reached a peak of demand with a crush of baby birds and small animals that need care and feeding now! Community volunteers are the heroes of nature keeping these creatures alive. Spring brings a peak of demand. Baby birds blown or fallen from trees and small animals like squirrels and raccoons orphaned by human activity including tree trimming, cars and property development that require help to be returned to the environment.
Volunteers must be 18 or older and available to help a couple hours. Training is provided and volunteer shifts are flexible. For more than 45 years people just like you have given tens of thousands of creatures a second chance to live.
Located at 5211 Patrol Road at McClellan Park, the facility is the state’s second largest non-profit wildlife rehabilitation group depending on the community for volunteers, supplies and funding. Wildlife saved are released back to the communities they came from to help balance our environment and maintain our regional quality of life. They need you now! volunteer@wildlifecareassociation.com
