How to have a voice in your child's IEP

A workshop on the special education IEP process

Learn from the expert! Martina Sholiton, founder and director of PACES (Parental Advocacy for Children in Exceptional Situations), enjoyed a long career in public education. As the former Director of Special Education in San Jose Unified School District and Assistant Superintendent in charge of Special Education in Monterey County, Martina clearly understands the difficulties parents have in knowing the special education requirements and navigating the school system.
Opening Doors PTA is delighted to have Martina share her expertise. In this workshop she will discuss the techniques and strategies on how to plan, attend and follow up when you anticipate your IEP to be difficult, as well as how to handle disagreement.
RSVP TODAY! Space is limited. Workshop is free and open to public.
