Man's Body Pulled From Bay Near Foster City: Police
Someone called authorities to alert them to the floating body in the Bay on Thursday morning, police said.

FOSTER CITY, CA — A man's body was pulled from the base of the San Mateo-Hayward bridge Thursday and Foster City police say they are working to identify him. The deceased adult male was found around 9:30 a.m., according to the Foster City Police Department.
According to police Capt. Martin Ticas, someone called authorities to alert them to the floating body in the Bay.
Officers arrived at the scene with firefighters and searched for the man by using a boat, police said. Once located, the man was pulled to shore.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Ticas.
The case remains under investigation and police are working with the San Mateo County coroner's office to identify the man and find out exactly how he died.

"There is no public safety concern, based on the little we know," Ticas said.
