Rick Wycoff has an Op-Ed in the Foster City Islander today July 17th 2019. Wykoff makes a number of points about reaponsible governance, fiscal responsibility and the role of elections in our society.
Wycoff comes at the issue from the historical perspective as the last recall was 1977 and Wycoff was the City Manager during that time. He saw the pain and disruption a recall can cause on Foster City at the end of the 1970's and 1980's.
He makes the point that the recall isn't for malfeasance, illegality or other substantive issues. Rather the recall is aimed at attitude and personality conflicts.
