Search Continues On Day 3 For Missing Peninsula Senior Citizen
Eighty-four-year-old Paul Farmer, who suffers from dementia, was reported missing Monday after wandering away from his home, police said.

BELMONT, CA — The search for Paul Farmer, 84 of Belmont, entered day three on Wednesday after the elderly man was reported missing earlier this week from his home, authorities said.
Farmer is described as being 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red ball cap, prescription glasses, a shirt or jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
The Belmont Police Department, along with San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services, dozens of search and rescue personnel, including air support and search dogs, are continuing the effort to find the senior citizen, who suffers from dementia and reportedly walked away from his residence on the 1600 block of Molitor Road on Monday at about 5:30 p.m., police said.

His wife reported him missing around 8:50 p.m. when she noticed he was gone. She last saw him around 5 p.m., but he may have been spotted Tuesday morning.
The search continues for the man, who does not have a cell phone or money with him and suffers from medical conditions.

"Paul has the on-set of dementia, a history of falls, and currently takes medication for high blood pressure and cholesterol," the Belmont Police Department said. "Paul's wife feels he may still be in the area of Belmont or San Carlos, but could have gone farther."
Detectives are following up on dozens of tips called in by the community, the department said, adding that it is urging citizens to be on the lookout for Paul, and those who may spot him are asked to call 911 stay with him while police respond.
