1 Injured In Fountain Valley Possible Hit-And-Run On 405 Freeway

At least one person was rushed to a hospital after a possible hit-and-run crash Saturday on the 405 Freeway in Fountain Valley.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — At least one person was rushed to a hospital after a possible hit-and-run crash Saturday on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Fountain Valley, where at least four vehicles were involved, authorities said.

The condition of the injured victim was not immediately known.

The crash on the southbound freeway at Euclid Street occurred at 8:22 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.

Metro Net firefighters and paramedics dispatched to the scene, in response to a "heavy rescue" call of at least three patients, rushed one person to an area hospital, according to a Metro Net Fire dispatcher.

A Sigalert issued at 8:37 a.m. closing the 2, 3, 4 and 5 lanes of the southbound freeway was canceled at 9:32 a.m.

The vehicles involved in the crash were described as a U.S. Postal Service truck, a Honda Accord, a white pickup truck and a blue Honda sedan, the CHP said.
