Accused Murderer to Appear in Court, Tet Dancers to Perform

Monday: The Fountain Valley girls soccer team plays on the road at Huntington Beach. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.

Tuesday: Dancers from the Los Amigos Asian Student Union will perform at Monroe Elementary School in honor of the Vietnamese lunar New Year. Performances will be at 8:15 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.

Wednesday: The Los Amigos girls basketball team will play at home against Ranchos Alamitos. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.

The Los Amigos boys basketball team will play at home against Rancho Alamitos. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

The regular meeting of the Fountain Valley Planning Commission is canceled. The next regular meeting will be held on Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Friday: Pre-trial is scheduled for Philip Ngoc Nguyen at 8:30 a.m. at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana, section C57. Nguyen is accused of killing his fiancee by shooting her in the head.
