Angels Pitcher Matt Shoemaker Hit in Head at Safeco Field
Shoemaker left the game in the second inning after being hit by a ball that was going 105 miles per hour.
Los Angeles Angels pitcher Matt Shoemaker was hit by a ball off the bat at Safeco Field.
Shoemaker was pitching to Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager who hit a shot that left his bat at 105 miles per hour. He dropped to the ground and left the game with a towel on his head in the second inning.
Our thoughts are with #Angels pitcher @mattshoe52. He exits the game here in the 2nd after being struck by a ball off the bat.

Thinking positive for Matt Shoemaker. Scary moment. Hit right in the head with line drive. Able to walk off. Shoe has been so good.
