1- New program screens for cancer. Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center offers low-dose Early Lung Cancer Screening Program. For $125, this CT scan will allows teams of doctors and oncologists to provide diagnoses and plans for treatment.Â
2- Movies in the Park kicks off Tuesday night with a showing of Shrek, in conjunction with National Night Out, a community outreach event sponsored by local law enforcement. The family festival starts at 6 p.m. at Fountain Valley Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst Street. Click here for more info.Â
3-Camp It Up! There's still time to send the kids off for an action-packed week of activities and new friendships at a local Summer Camp. City-operated camps run through the week of Aug. 19. The school year is closing in fast, but summer camps can help pass the time.Â
