Fountain Valley Debuts Hero Banners
The 15 banners honor members of the military who have Fountain Valley roots.
Fifteen banners honoring military men and women who have Fountain Valley connections were unveiled today along Slater Avenue and Brookhurst Street.
The decorations are part of the city's Honored Heroes Banners program, and will be displayed until Veterans Day. Next year, new banners will be displayed, and those honoring family members on this year's banner will have the option to renew.
