DUI Checkpoint Nets 4 Arrests
The checkpoint was conducted Friday night at the corner of Brookhurst and Talbert.

A DUI checkpoint Friday night in Fountain Valley resulted in four arrests and two impounded cars, the Fountain Valley Police Department reported Monday.
The checkpoint took place between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m., and was located at the corner of Brookhurst Street and Talbert Avenue. One driver was arrested on suspiction of DUI, one on suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana, one on suspicion of possession of a controlled susbstance, and one on an outstanding felony warrant.
In addtion to the four arrests, police also impounded two cars and issued two citations for driving without a license or with a suspended license.

A total of 968 vehicles drove through the checkpoint. Funding was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
