Firefighter Injured in Garden Grove Restaurant Blaze

A firefighter was slightly injured in a fire that caused $150,000 damage to a diner in Garden Grove, authorities said today.

The fire was reported at Kaye’s Kitchen in the 12000 block of Main Street at 9:36 p.m. Monday, Garden Grove Fire Department Capt. Thanh Nguyen said.

The blaze was knocked down in 15 minutes and caused damage estimated at $100,000 to the structure and $50,000 to the contents, Nguyen said.

The firefighter was hospitalized with a minor injury, Nguyen said.
