Panera Bread says hello in Huntington Beach. The new location is at 19461 Main Street #101, (Seacliff Village Shopping Center). As part of its opening the restaurant will donate $1 to Second Harvest Food Bank for each guest who registers for the MyPanera®  loyalty program, from now thru Sept. 30. 

Los Primos says Adios in Fountain Valley. According to the OC Register, Los Primos Mexican Food has closed, as there is a padlock on the door and the phone has been disconnected. The restaurant is located at 9475 Warner Ave.

The OC Fair is Waiting: The Orange County Fair continues Wednesdays through Sundays till Aug. 11 with pig races, deep-fried food, carnival rides, exhibits and more. Wednesday's highlights include the Amazing Dobermans at the Action Sports Arena, performances by The Flaming Lips and The Growlers at the Pacific Amphitheatre and ABBA tribute band Arrival From Sweden at the Hangar Entertainment Arena. Find schedules, directions and more info here.

The Hills Are Alive With the Sound of…What?!: Dust off your jaw harp, theremin, dulcimer or fluba and play a tune. Wednesday is Uncommon Instrument Awareness Day.

USA.gov is reminding community members about the importance of staying safe while swimming at beaches. The biggest danger of swimming in the ocean is getting caught in rip currents, powerful currents on the surface of the water that can quickly carry you out to sea, according to USA.gov. Watch this video to learn how to avoid and escape them.
