Fountain Valley Bushard Street Bridge Opening

As of Monday, October 12, 2020, Bushard Street Bridge is open to traffic. Bushard Street Bridge and Talbert Avenue Bridge closed on September 2019 for demolition and reconstruction. Closeout work activities include tying into water lines, installing fencing, and final grind and overlay of pavement. Bushard Street Bridge is the second bridge to be completed in the City of Fountain Valley. Slater Avenue Bridge was the first bridge to be completed (last year). Talbert Avenue Bridge will be the next bridge to be completed and opened to traffic in the beginning of 2021. Currently, preparations have begun to demolish half of Brookhurst Street Bridge over the next few weeks. Brookhurst Street will remain open during construction.
