A DUI checkpoint Friday night in Fountain Valley resulted in 19 total citations and one arrest, the Fountain Valley Police Department reported Monday.
A total of 1,129 cars passed through the checkpoint, which was located on the corner of Heil Avenue and Harbor Boulevard. No arrests for DUI were made, but one arrest was made for felony possession of a controlled substance.
Overall, 19 citations were issued, 18 of which were for driving without a license or on a suspended license. The other was for possession of marijuana. One driver was arrested in a misdemeanor warrant, and one car was impounded.
