Fountain Valley School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Fountain Valley is September 6. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Fountain Valley School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 10/30 - 10/31: Modified Days (Parent Conferences)

November

• 11/1 - 11/3: Modified Days (Parent Conferences)
• 11/9: No School for Students (Staff Development)
• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/8: End of First Trimester
• 12/25 - 1/5: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Recess)
• 1/8: Return to School
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)

February

• 2/9: No School for Students (Staff Development), Mid Trimester
