Fountain Valley to Celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday
The event is being run in conjunction with Movies in the Park. The first of the movies in the series is "Shrek."

As part of the 2013 National Night Out campaign, the Fountain Valley Police Department is hosting a community event on Tuesday, Aug. 6, aimed at allowing Fountain Valley residents to meet face to face with law enforcement.
The event is being run in conjunction with Movies in the Park. The first of the movies in the series is "Shrek."
Prior to the movie, activities and demonstrations will begin at 6 p.m., and include a bounce house, picnic style games, and free hot dogs with beverages (while the supplies last).Â

There will be fingerprinting provided by the Fountain Valley Police Explorers, face painting, Police K9 demonstrations, a SWAT display, Police Motorcycle Officers, Fire Department displays, Code Enforcement, and booths from Crime Prevention, Neighborhood Watch, and the Retired Senior Volunteer Programs.Â
Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services are co-sponsors of the event, which will take place at Fountain Valley Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst Street.

Guests are welcome to arrive early to ensure you get a good seat. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for seating in the grass in front of the large movie screen.Â
