Fountain Valley Wins Game One; Stupin Stupefies Troy High School
In an away game at Huntington Beach's Troy High School Josh Stupin made his debut as quarterback for Fountain Valley and did not disappoint.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — New quarterback and transfer Junior from JSerra, Josh Stupin made an amazing opening act for the Fountain Valley High School Barons on Thursday. With four touchdown passes, all in the first half, Stupin led Fountain Valley to victory over Troy High School Warriors in game one.
Coach Jimmy Nolan white knuckled the way through the second half to a 40-28 win, with a rough fourth quarter. The Warriors pulled out the w, thanks to 27 of 38 completed passes by Stupin. All four touchdowns were thrown in the first half, according to the Daily Pilot.
According to the Daily Pilot's interview with wide receiver, senior Kishaun Sykes,Stupin has been "throwing darts, and we’ve just been on point, getting connections this offseason,” Sykes told the Pilot. “I’m ready to see what we have to offer.”

Fountain Valley did commit 17 penalties in the game, including a roughing the passer penalty, totaling 138 yards, something Nolan called "unacceptable."
Fountain Valley was ranked 10th in the Division 8 Preseason poll.
