Hearing Scheduled for Mother Accused of Sexually Assaulting Son's 12-Year-Old Friend

Patricia Serrano faces up to 12 years in prison if convicted.

A preliminary hearing is set for Friday morning in the case of a Fountain Valley woman accused of sexually assaulting her son's 12-year-old friend.

Patricia Serrano, 43, is charged with three felony counts of lewd conduct with a child, and faces 12 years in prison if convicted. On two occasions in October, she's accused of having unlawful sex with the boy in her home and in a car.

On one occasion, Serrano is accused of kissing the boy in a locked room. The victim’s mother discovered her in the room with her son. She did not see any sexual activity but became suspicious of Serrano’s relationship with her son and reported it to police.
