Here's what you should know for the week ahead in Fountain Valley:Â
1. Movies in the Park. In the second week of the the summer movies series, "The Adventures of Tin Tin" will be shown at Harper Park 8675  Bluebird Ave. on Friday, Aug. 16. That night Tornado Potatoes and Garlicscapes food trucks will be on-site. The free event begins at 6:30 p.m.
2. I Scream, You Scream... Fountain Valley Historical Society and The Volunteer Clowns of Orange County will host an ice cream social on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 1 p.m. at Heritage Park, 17635 Los Alamos St. For More Information contact: Leslie Montz 714-378-1952 or bjmontz@verizon.net
3. No Tolls Rally. In a show of force against a proposal to add toll lanes to the 405 Freeway, Rossmoor community leaders are staging an anti-toll road rally Monday. Citizens of neighboring communities of Rossmoor are invited to attend the No Toll Road Rally, this Monday, Aug. 12, from 6-8 p.m. in Rush Park.
4. Today is Vinyl Record Day. Dust off your old LPs and break out the turntable and listen to the way music is intended to be heard. And if you find yourself in need of some new vinyls, hit up TKO Records or Dr. Freecloud's Record Shoppe in Fountain Valley.Â
5. FV Weather. Temperatures will be in the mid- to high-70s all week in Fountain Valley, with partly cloudy skies the first few days of the week. The weekend will be picture perfect, and a great time to head west and hit the beach. Thursday and Friday will see sunny skies and a high of 81, while Saturday and Sunday will see sunny skies and a high of 79.Â
