Masked Robbers Take Over Huntington Beach Jewelry Store

The armed men later flee in a minivan with Arizona plates, police say.

Two armed men in masks robbed a Huntington Beach jewelry store Wednesday in a takeover-style holdup.

Wearing hooded sweatshirts, the men robbed Isabella's Fine Jewelry at 16917 Algonquin St. just before 12:45 p.m., according to Huntington Beach police Lt. Mitch O'Brien.

The robbers held employees at gunpoint and smashed display cases to take jewelry, O'Brien said.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt in the robbery, O'Brien said.
