Update: OC Chocolate Festival Moving Out of Fountain Valley
The festival's financial backer may have a licensing deal in place that would move the festival to another city.

Update: Fountain Valley Living's Curt Seeden said Wednesday that a final decsion is yet to be made, and that if the festival does move out of Fountain Valley, it would only be because it's grown too large for the city's recreation center.
After just two years, the Orange County Chocolate Festival will be moving out of Fountain Valley.
Recreation and Community Services Manager Mark Nix announced the plan to move the festival out of town during last week's meeting of the Fountain Valley Community Foundation. Alex Accetta, the festival's chief financial backer, made the decision to move the festival, Nix said.

A licensing or buyout deal may be on the table, under which another organization would take over the Chocolate Festival's operations and move it elsewhere, Nix said during the meeting. The first two festivals were run by Fountain Valley Living magazine. raised $2,500 to benefit the Foundation.
