Event Communication

During this festival and all other Fremont events, we ask that community members remain aware of their surroundings and report suspicious activity by calling the Fremont Police Department’s non-emergency number at 510-790-6800 and selecting option 3 or by dialing 911 in an emergency. “If you see something, say something.” You can also text-a-tip by texting: Tip FremontPD followed by your message to 888777. The Police Department will utilize Nixle and Twitter during the event to send out notifications and/or alerts if necessary. To follow the department on Nixle, simply text one of Fremont’s zip codes to 888-777.

Community Engagement

If you are planning to attend the Festival of the Arts, please be sure to visit the Fremont Police Department’s booth, which will be staffed by members of the Community Engagement Unit. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and talk about crime prevention resources and programs such as Community Cameras, National Night Out, and Neighborhood Crime Watch.

Also, the City of Fremont invites residents to stop by the City booth to meet staff and learn more about disaster preparedness. Booths for the City, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and the Fremont Police Department will be located along Walnut Avenue and Paseo Padre Parkway. The Fremont Fire Department’s booth will be located on Paseo Padre Parkway between Mowry and Capitol avenues; stop by and see the fire apparatus and smoke trailer for families.
