74-Year-Old Woman Arrested: Fremont Police
She is suspected of drunk driving following hit-and-run crashes.

FREMONT, CA — Fremont Police say they have arrested a 74-year-old woman on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) following hit-and-run crashes involving parked vehicles and poles Monday evening. There were no injuries.
The crashes happened shortly before 6 p.m. in a parking lot near the intersection of Paseo Padre Parkway and Walnut Avenue. A caller said that a Subaru Outback had hit a pole and then backed into a parked vehicle. Other callers reported that the Subaru hit another pole and vehicle in the parking lot, and the driver seemed disoriented.
Some witnesses tried to intervene, but the driver left.

Officers spotted her at the intersection of Paseo Padre Parkway and Mowry Avenue. She immediately yielded for officers who tried to stop her. Police say that she was under the influence of alcohol.
She was arrested and booked into the Fremont Jail for suspected DUI and hit-and-run. Her name has not been released.
