ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Voters in eastern Alameda County are deciding whether they want Fremont City Councilmember Vinnie Bacon or Dublin Mayor David Haubert to fill the District 1 seat on the Alameda County Board of Supervisors.

Bacon and Haubert are vying for the district that encompasses Dublin, Livermore, most of Fremont, part of Sunol and most of the unincorporated Livermore-Amador Valley. The District 1 seat is being vacated by retiring Supervisor Scott Haggerty, who has served six terms since he was first elected to the seat in 1996.
