FREMONT, CA — The City of Fremont has a rental assistance program for residents who fell behind on their rent or utility bills during the pandemic.

Keep Fremont Housed is accepting applications. You may apply online. Help is also offered to fill-out the forms, if you find them confusing. Help is also available in languages besides English.

To qualify for the assistance, you must meet these qualifications:

  • Be a Fremont resident
  • Household Income is at or below 80% Area Median Income (AMI)
  • At least one person in the household has qualified for unemployment benefits or experienced a reduction in income, incurred significant costs, or experienced other financial hardship due, directly or indirectly, to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • At least one person in the household can demonstrate a risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability
