Update: Attempted Sexual Assault Occurred at Park Behind Elementary School
The female victim was cutting through the park after leaving a local gym.

A male suspect grabbed a female victim, ripped her shirt, and tried to pull her pants down in an attempted sexual assault at a local park on Thursday, police said.
Fremont police initially reported on Friday morning that the incident occurred on the Azevada Elementary School campus, but later stated that it took place in the Azeveda Park, located behind the school. The time of the incident was not given in either report.

The victim told police that she was walking home through the park after leaving a local gym when a male suspect grabbed her from behind and attacked her. She was able to break free, run home and call police.
Officers responded to the area but were not able to locate the suspect.
