Blazing Heat This Week: The 2 Days It Peaks
The good news from the National Weather Service: the fire danger is low.

EAST BAY — A Heat Advisory is in effect for the region with temperatures expected to peak on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Here in the East Bay, temperatures over 90 will be common, with a few 100's expected.
Overnight lows will be in the upper 50's to low 60's.
Winds are expected to be light, so expect a breeze to move the air around, but wind speeds will not be high enough to increase the fire danger.

National Weather Service meteorologist David King said, "Winds are going to be light. Fuels right now are at or below average for what we expect how dry they're going to be, so that the risk for fire danger is going to be low."
King reminds people to drink plenty of fluids, check on elderly parents or neighbors, and make sure your pets are protected from the heat and have plenty of water.
