Business Evacuated After Chemical Drum Leak
No injuries were reported during the incident.

A hazmat crew is on scene at a Warm Springs business after chemicals leaked from a ruptured drum this morning.
According to the Fremont Fire Department, the incident was reported at 6:40 a.m. at a business on Spinnaker Court. An employee reported an odor coming from a large trailer where chemicals were stored.
Arriving crews found a ruptured 15-gallon drum leaking a chemical. The type of chemical was not immediately disclosed.

Between 10 and 20 employees were evacuated from the business as a precaution.
No injuries were reported.

“Fortunately it was an isolated incident that was contained to the trailer,” said Fremont Fire Department spokesman Dan Cardenas.
As of 11:40 a.m., a private company was cleaning up the materials with a Fremont Fire Department inspector on scene, according to Cardenas.
