Alameda County is the latest Bay Area county to officially connect to Zonehaven, a new wildfire evacuation system. The new evacuation system is now live. In the event of an emergency situation, law enforcement and fire agencies issue both evacuation warnings or evacuation orders for impacted areas. These notices are issued for a specific Zone or Zones. In order to understand whether your area is under an evacuation warning or order, it's important to Know Your Zone.

To obtain your Zone information, follow these instructions:

• Go to https://community.zonehaven.com
• Type in your address. Your Zone name will appear.
• Write down your Zone and place in a visible area.

Zonehaven does not replace AC Alert. AC Alert provides critical information quickly in a variety of situations such as earthquakes, fires, severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods, so be sure to sign up if you have not already.
