Code Ninjas Reopens in Fremont and Teaches Kids How to Code
Code Ninjas Center Reopens and Focuses on Building Video Games, Robotics, Drones, and other STEM Activities

Say the words “video game” and your kids are bound to stop and listen. The local owner of a Code Ninjas, a learning center that reopened at 46525 Mission Blvd., Ste. 710, knows that video games aren’t only fun, but educational. Code Ninjas will serve the local area by teaching children computer coding and problem-solving skills while having fun building video games. They are currently offering in-person and virtual coding opportunities.
To ensure the safety of all Ninjas, parents, and Senseis, Code Ninjas is taking extra precautions. The center will be thoroughly cleaned routinely, on a daily basis by employees. Devices, tables, door handles, bathrooms, and other frequently-used surfaces will be sanitized throughout the day. In addition, student workspaces and equipment, including computers, monitors, and mice will be cleaned between every student session. There will be an increased distance between individual student workstations in the dojo, as well as careful monitoring and enforcement of no-contact interactions.
The Fremont location is owned and operated by local entrepreneur Jennifer Nie. Along with a teaching certification, Nie has her Master of Education degree from Teachers College of Columbia University and Master of Arts degree in linguistics. She has lived in California for over a decade and is passionate about teaching students of all ages. With her son’s interest in coding and games and her belief that coding will be as important to children as a second language, Nie began searching for educational and productive activities in STEM-based education. She found Code Ninjas, loved what they had to offer, and knew it would be a great fit in the community. This is her first location, with plans to expand in the future.

“I love that the Code Ninjas program is fun for kids and they won’t get bored. It makes coding and learning exciting for every ninja that comes in,” said Jennifer. “With the flexible schedule we offer, parents can bring in their kids in at any time. Kids get to have fun and it’s convenient for parents, which is why we’re excited to bring Code Ninjas to the Fremont community.”
Fremont children ages 5 and above can look forward to visiting the Code Ninjas center to learn how to code in a fun, safe, and social learning environment where gaming is celebrated, and STEM is cool. Everything about Code Ninjas is built around fun, which keeps kids coming back. But the center also provides the results that parents are looking for, as their children gain coding and problem-solving skills they’ll need for the jobs of the future.

Code Ninjas accomplishes this with a robust, game-based curriculum made up of nine belts, just like martial arts. The curriculum is self-paced, but not self-taught; kids get immediate help and encouragement from Code Senseis and fellow students as they advance from white to black belt. The program keeps kids motivated with little wins along the way, and “Belt-Up” celebrations where they receive color-coded wristbands to mark their graduation to the next level. Ninjas will collaborate with the team to develop games from concept to delivery.
Code Ninjas offers a variety of opportunities for children to get involved, including a flexible weeknight drop-in program, virtual sessions and camps. The center will offer fun camps during spring and summer breaks, including Roblox camp, Minecraft camp, JavaScript camp, and Game Builder’s Club camp.
