Dog Haus in Fremont in October is serving up a chef-designed, "oom-pah-pah" special, with portion of proceeds going to No Kids Hungry.

FREMONT, CA — If you can't get to Munich this year to celebrate Oktoberfest, you have a local option to satisfy your Bavarian-food craving: Dog Haus restaurant in Fremont has a month-long offer of its popular, festive sausage, The Oktoberwürst!
The "Oktoberwürst" is one-third pound of Cajun-spiced, emmentaler cheese-stuffed bierwurst, topped with caramelized onions, sauerkraut, mustard aioli and scallions, served on a grilled King's Hawaiian roll. Created by chef, Dog Haus "Würstmacher" and TV personality Adam Gertler, this dish is available at Dog Haus locations in Fremont and throughout California through October.
“Adam created this one-of-a-kind, kick-ass sausage to give guests a taste of Munich during such a festive time," said Dog Haus co-founder Hagop Giragossian.
