Driver Shoots at Car in Fremont Road Rage Incident

The male suspect was driving a gray Honda Civic. He remains at large.

A male suspect fired at a victim's vehicle during a road rage incident in Fremont on Wednesday, police said.

At about 5 a.m. Wednesday, a citizen called 911 to report a shooting near the intersection of Auto Mall Parkway and Technology Drive.

According to police, the victim pulled their vehicle up behind a gray Honda Civic that was stopped at a stoplight. When the light turned green, the victim honked to alert the driver of the Civic.

The driver took off but then decided to fire a shot at the tires of the victim's vehicle as it approached, police said

Police said the driver was described as a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt. The victim was not able to see the suspect's face.

Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect, who remains at large, police said.
