Daughter Arrested After Father, 73, Killed in Fight
Police said the victim, a 73-year-old man, suffered from blunt trauma

An elderly man died after a dispute with his daughter erupted into a violent physical fight, police said.Â
Officers found the 73-year-old man lying on the kitchen floor in a puddle of blood in a home on the the 37800 block of Argyle Road around 7:15 p.m., according to a Fremont police press release.

Police said authorities were called to the home to a report of a disturbance.Â
Authorities also located the victim's daughter, a 28-year-old female, in a bathroom inside of the home, who was taken into custody.

The man was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after the incident.
Fremont police said preliminary investigations indicate that the daughter visited the home in violation of a restraining order and "a violent argument ensued."
"It appears, at this point, that the victim died as a result of blunt trauma sustained during the altercation with daughter," according to the Fremont Police statement.
The names of the suspect and victim have not yet been released.Â

The case is being investigated as a homicide.
In January, a 48-year-old Fremont man was shot to death in his home on the 39500 block of Pardee Court by his son, who turned himself in to police and said it was self-defense. Authorities deemed that to be a case of justifiable homicide.
Police will release more information about Thursday night's incident probably next week.
