Elderly Pedestrian, Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver Last Week, Dies
The man, whose name was released by police, was walking his dog when he was hit. Police have also released vehicle descriptions.

FREMONT, CA — An elderly man critically injured in a hit-and-run collision in Fremont last week died on Monday, police said.
Richard Plasch, 81, was hit at about 6 a.m. on March 9 while walking his dog in the area of J and Second streets and died at a hospital.
The vehicle that struck Plasch did not stop at the scene, but investigators found surveillance footage that shows at least two vehicles in the area and police are seeking anyone who has information about either vehicle or saw Plasch walking the dog that morning.

The first vehicle, a dark-colored possible minivan, was seen going west on J Street toward Second Street.
The second vehicle, a gray or gold 1995-1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, was seen going west on J Street and then possibly making a U-turn at Second Street, then went east on J Street and was last seen turning south on Niles Boulevard, according to police.
