The Fremont Police Department reports that the man is a Fremont resident in his 60s. The accident happened on Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard at about 7:30 p.m.
Investigators have analyzed video from Community Cameras and a VTA bus. Police said in a release, "The video showed the signal light cycled to green for southbound vehicular traffic and the pedestrian light also cycled to permit pedestrian crossing. The victim then started walking within the crosswalk. As the man crossed the roadway, he was initially almost struck by a vehicle turning right from south-bound Warm Springs turning west onto Mission Blvd. Immediately after, as he continued walking, a second vehicle turned right and struck the man."
